Recycle with Reclaim-It

Please help us by recycling your used ink cartridges and old mobile phones.

In the UK alone, over 2 million printer cartridges are thrown away and 15 million mobiles are left, unwanted, each year!

Every cartridge thrown away could be helping with kennel fees for a dog for a week and every mobile left in a drawer could help with expensive veterinary fees.

All we need you to do is collect empty cartridges and mobile phones instead of throwing them away. We currently have a few methods for collecting your cartridges and phones. These are as follows:

  1. Request a free-post envelope. We will send you a free post envelope - all you need to do is place your item inside and post to reclaim-it for free.

  2. Perhaps you work in a small office or a shop where you could display a box of free post envelopes for your customers and colleagues use.

  3. Or does your workplace go through a lot of cartridges? If so, why not order a cartridge collection sack for your workplace. When it's full all you need to do is email us and we will organise collection and a new one to be sent out straight away.

To request any of the above all you need to do is complete the form below.

Aluminium Recycling

The rescue has teamed up with a recycling company that will give us money for every kilo of aluminium drinks cans we take to them. Our aim is to set up donation points all over Scotland. We already have one in South Lanarkshire, Ayrshire and Perthshire.

cansIs this something you could help with?

We need people who have space to store aluminium cans, they can be crushed to make storage easier.

We need people with cafes, pubs or a workplace that could collect aluminium cans for us.

We will need drivers to take the cans to the recycling company as the need arises. Could this be you?

If you think you could help with this fund raising project please contact us.

On behalf of everyone at German Shepherd Rescue Scotland we would like to thank you for your support and please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries.

Money For Used Stamps! Help Us By Collecting Postage Stamps

We are collecting postage stamps and get a donation for the rescue for every kilo we collect. All you have to do is cut round the stamps leaving about 1/4" of the backing paper.

  • Collect stamps at home.
  • Collect stamps at your work place.
  • Collect stamps at Christmas!

Once you are ready send your stamp collections to:-

German Shepherd Rescue Scotland
Cnoc-An-Oir,
Dalnabreac,
Acharacle,
Argyll and Bute,
PH36 4JX.

PLEASE get the envelope weighed and add the correct postage. A first class stamp it would appear is not enough and the Post Office tries to charge us £1.08 to receive the letters. It takes 1Kg of stamps to raise just £5 so it is not worth the rescue paying these fees.

If you have a small amount of stamps please add two first class stamps to your envelope. Many thanks.
