Kane is a very energetic 3 year old boy who is being rehomed through no fault of
his own.
When our volunteer rang the doorbell, they did wonder if they were at
the right house as they couldn't here the deep bark of German Shepherd.
When they entered the house, Kane was in his safe place, his crate and
they were invited through to the kitchen. They were advised to pop down
there paperwork and asked if they were ready, Kane was let out his crate
and he came bounding in the kitchen with great enthusiasm. Jumping up
in a friendly way, excited to have a visitor. He continued bounding
about the kitchen. He was then let into the garden where he bounded
about, checking back in with the volunteer and jumping up excitedly.
Unfortunately due to the owners ill health, the volunteer wasn't able to
asses what Kane was like out and about. However the owner was able to explain
that he is walked on a normal collar and lead, he doesn't really pull,
but he will want to go in his own direction if he needs to toilet. She also
let us know that he will be up on his hind legs with some dogs, but he
doesn't bark. It is unknown how Kane is with other dogs as he has not been socialised.
In the house Kane is crate trained and this is where he sleeps
overnight, he's also crated for a couple of hours should they owner need
to go out. Kane does like socks and has been known to chew stuff that
he can easily find.
Kane is a sweet boy who would make a loving companion for the correct
home, it would need to be a nice quiet home without any children, Kane
isn't used to children. He would also benefit from training
classes and would need to have boundaries set.
