Ash

Ash is a lovely 7 year old short coat black and tan neutered boy.

When our volunteer visited Ash, she was greeted at the garden gate with

lots of barking, but as soon as a member of the family appeared Ash

quietened down and sniffed out the volunteer's pocketful of treats.

Ash developed a floppy ear a year ago for no apparent reason but it's all been checked out by the vet and certainly does not detract from the fact he is a lovely boy with a zest for life.

Ash is a chunky lad and clearly adores his family, keeping a watchful

eye on them and following his owner round the house/garden.  During our

volunteer's chat with the family, Ash lay quietly a short distance from

his owner but as soon as "Dad" got up and walked out of the room, Ash

went too.

He's a lovely lad who pulls hard on his lead when on a walk, particularly if a member of his family gets ahead of him.  Generally ok with most dogs, he can sometimes pull towards them, barking.

Ash could do with a bit of training and socialising to make him more relaxed when out & about.  He enjoys going in the car but is noisy & excitable.

He is used to children but doesn't put up with too much annoyance and will grumble as he walks away. Ash worries around younger children so will not be homed where there are visiting small children.  As always any kids needs to be 10 or older.

Ash isnt keen on being left alone so his new home needs to be around a lot for him.

Owing to family circumstances, Ash's family are no longer able to give

him the full attention he needs (exercise, particularly) so they are

very reluctantly looking for a new home where he will receive as much in

the way of home comforts and love as he presently enjoys, plus training

and socialising to help him.
