Angus

Angus is a bouncy, ball obsessed boy who we think is about 4 years old,  he has a thick glossy dark sable coat. He loves to welcome visitors to his home and is friendly with people outside too. Angus has not had much training so new owners would need to put in the work to improve his general obedience, lead walking and recall.

Angus has been with his current owner for a couple of years and is a much-loved pet. Until the owner's health broke down, they loved to go on long walks daily and Angus happily travelled by train and bus to different places. Sadly, that is not possible anymore and Angus has got a little unfit and overweight, although a kind friend has stepped in, and he is now  going out for a good walk 2 or 3 times a week. Angus' owner will be very sad  to lose him but wants to find him a good home before his own health deteriorates further. Angus himself has never been ill.

Angus is house-trained, he is fine to be left for short periods if given  the run of the house, he gets distressed if confined in a small space. He travels OK in the car, settling after initial excitement.

Angus is reactive to other dogs, but this can be avoided if he is  distracted with a tuggy game with a ball on string before they get too close. Away from other dogs he loves to chase a ball but the game needs 2 or 3 balls as he does not like to drop unless there is a good trade. New owners will need  to be committed to managing his behaviour with ongoing training.

Angus is very good-natured but is too boisterous to be around smallchildren. He is not possessive about food or toys and knows not to bother humans when they are eating.

New owners must agree to have Angus neutered once he is fully settled in his new home.
