Rico is a handsome young man who wants to be friends with everyone. He
has not yet learnt to regulate his excitement and will jump up on anyone
who comes into his house or approaches him when he is outside. New
owners will need to have the time and experience to teach self-control
and a mannerly approach.
Rico is house trained and knows some basic commands, but he is not
lead-trained and does not have reliable recall. Further training is a
must for Rico to mature into a good canine citizen.
Rico has never lived with another dog but plays well with friends in the
local park, he can be vocal if not allowed to play. He has had little
contact with children and is far too boisterous to be around small ones.
Rico is house-trained but can be destructive if left for more than a
short period, so he needs someone around most of the time. He travels OK
in the car, or on the bus, settling after initial excitement.
Rico is being re-homed as his owner needs to leave the country and is
not allowed to take him with her. New owners must agree to have Rico
neutered at the appropriate stage once he is fully settled in his new
home.
